Bio


Matthew Crowley is a freelance photographer who has been into photography since he was able to hold a camera. He has been fortunate to travel a lot in that time and has had the opportunity to photograph some amazing places. Starting out as a landscape and wildlife photographer, he has since broadened his horizons to include portrait and wedding photography. Matthew is always looking for new ways to best show off the subject of his photography.

Matthew has taken formal courses in digital photography and black and white film photography during his Associate Degree in Graphic Design, however much of his photography skills are self-taught in the field, through workshops or through networking with other photographers. He is a member of the Chicago Area Camera Club Association (CACCA) and the Sandwich Photographic Society. He attends many different workshops on a variety of photographic topics and enters competitions for photography regularly. In the 2011 Sandwich Fair Photo Competition, Matthew won 3 First Place Awards, 1 Second Place Award and 3 Third Place Awards including Best Overall Photo out of over 3200 entries.
To a photographer, there is nothing more satisfying than knowing when you have caught "the moment." This moment in time is unique and memorable. Through photography, these moments can be cherished forever and appreciated by many. Whether it is shooting portraits, a wedding, or nature photography, Matthew uses his skills and experience to capture the moment and turn the world into beautiful and unique works of art.
